John Mayer e Jimmy Kimmel prestam homenagem ao falecido amigo Bob Saget em evento de angariação de fundos

John Mayer, Jimmy Kimmel e Jeff Ross prestaram homenagem a Bob Saget durante um evento de arrecadação de fundos no início desta semana.
O trio sediou o evento anual de arrecadação de fundos da Scleroderma Research Foundation Cool Comedy, Hot Cuisine, um evento que a estrela da Full House participou desde os anos 90, em Beverly Hills na quarta-feira.
A noite também serviu de homenagem a Saget, que morreu em janeiro, aos 65 anos, após sofrer uma pancada acidental na cabeça.
Jimmy começou o evento brincando que "essas reservas realmente melhoraram muito desde que Bob faleceu", de acordo com o The Hollywood Reporter. Bill Burr, Rosie O'Donnell e Kathy Griffin estavam entre os comediantes de stand-up que se apresentaram durante a noite.
Quando Jimmy trouxe Jeff e John, o músico observou que "esta é a primeira vez que venho a um evento beneficente da Esclerodermia onde Bob não me pediu, como Jimmy disse, para fazer este evento, mas depois se desculpou profusamente enquanto me pedia para fazer este evento."
John continuou: "O que é tão divertido sobre esta noite, a única coisa divertida sobre isso, é que mostramos a Bob que queríamos fazer isso, sempre quisemos fazer isso".
O comediante Jeff acrescentou: "Vou tentar manter isso o mais festivo possível. Todo mundo deveria ter um amigo como Bob Saget; esta noite é um tributo, mas também é uma celebração que todos nós conhecemos aquele cara, que ele teve essa influência em nossas vidas."
Saget era um defensor apaixonado da Scleroderma Research Foundation desde que perdeu sua irmã para a rara condição autoimune - que resulta em áreas duras e espessas da pele e, às vezes, problemas com órgãos internos e vasos sanguíneos - em 1994.

John Mayer, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jeff Ross paid tribute to Bob Saget during a fundraising event earlier this week.
The trio hosted the Scleroderma Research Foundation's annual fundraising event Cool Comedy, Hot Cuisine, an event the Full House star had attended since the '90s, in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
The night also served as a tribute to Saget, who died in January aged 65 after suffering an accidental blow to the head.
Jimmy kicked off the event by joking that "these bookings have really improved vastly since Bob passed away", according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bill Burr, Rosie O'Donnell, and Kathy Griffin were among the stand-up comedians who performed during the night.
When Jimmy brought Jeff and John out, the musician noted that "this is the first time I've come to a Scleroderma benefit where Bob hasn't, as Jimmy said, asked me to do this event but then profusely apologised while asking me to do this event."
John continued, "What's so fun about tonight, the only thing that's fun about it, is we get to show Bob we wanted to do this, we always wanted to do this."
Comedian Jeff added, "I'm going to try to keep this as festive as possible. Everyone should have a friend like Bob Saget; tonight's a tribute but it's also a celebration that we all got to know that guy, that he got to have this influence on our lives."
Saget had been a passionate supporter of the Scleroderma Research Foundation since he lost his sister to the rare autoimmune condition - which results in hard, thickened areas of skin and sometimes problems with internal organs and blood vessels - in 1994.
