Sparks fará dois shows no Royal Albert Hall, em Londres.
A dupla americana de pop e rock - formada pelos irmãos Ron e Russell Mael - subirá ao palco do prestigiado local em 2023 e explicou que ter a oportunidade de tocar na sala de concertos de Londres é um "sonho tornado realidade" e sempre uma meta desde que iniciaram a carreira em 1966.
Em um comunicado, eles disseram: "Desde que começamos a tocar música, o Royal Albert Hall tem sido o auge dos locais de música britânica para nós e um lugar que sempre aspiramos tocar. Esses shows são um sonho tornado realidade!"
O show - que segue uma turnê mundial realizada pelos hitmakers 'Beat the Clock' em 2021 - coincidirá com o lançamento de um novo álbum e será exibido no Royal Albert Hall na segunda-feira, 29 e terça-feira, 30 de maio de 2023.
No ano passado, os irmãos - que são mais conhecidos pelos sucessos 'The Number One Song in Heaven' e 'Cool Places', mas lançaram 25 álbuns de estúdio ao longo de sua carreira - lançaram o documentário 'The Sparks Brothers' e o vocalista Russell explicou que o filme foi "recebido tão bem" e provocou que eles viriam para o Reino Unido após sua turnê pelos Estados Unidos.
Ele disse: "O documentário foi tão bem recebido. Estamos tocando na América pouco antes de vir para o Reino Unido e para o resto da Europa, e a turnê está vendendo incrivelmente bem, achamos que como resultado do documentário trazendo isso uma nova consciência para a banda. Podemos ver os resultados diretos do impacto que teve. É um período muito especial para nós."
Os ingressos para os shows do Royal Albert Hall estarão à venda na sexta-feira, 25 de novembro, às 10h, com uma pré-venda para o fã-clube na quarta-feira, às 10h.

Sparks are to play two shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The American pop and rock duo - which consists of brothers Ron and Russell Mael - will take to the stage at the prestigious venue in 2023 and explained that getting the chance to play at the London concert hall is a "dream come true" and has always been a goal since they started their career in 1966.
In a statement, they said: "Since we first started playing music, the Royal Albert Hall has been the pinnacle of British music venues for us and a place we’ve always aspired to play. These shows are a dream come true!"
The show - which follows on from a world tour undertaken by the 'Beat the Clock' hitmakers in 2021 - will coincide with the release of a brand new album and will run at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 May 2023.
Last year, the brothers - who are best known for hits ' The Number One Song in Heaven' and 'Cool Places' but have released 25 studio albums over the course of their career - launched documentary 'The Sparks Brothers' and vocalist Russell explained that the film had been "received so well" and teased that they would be coming to the UK following their high-selling US tour.
He said: "The documentary has been so well received. We're playing in America just before coming to the UK and the rest of Europe, and the tour has been selling incredibly well, we think as a result of the documentary bringing about this new awareness to the band. We can see the direct results of the impact it has had. It's a really special period for us."
Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall shows go on sale on Friday 25 November at 10am, with a fan club presale taking place on Wednesday at 10am.
