Ozzy Osbourne anunciou sua aposentadoria das turnês e cancelou todas as próximas datas de shows na Europa e no Reino Unido.

O ícone do metal compartilhou a notícia no Twitter hoje (1º de fevereiro), escrevendo que foi “provavelmente uma das coisas mais difíceis que já tive que compartilhar com meus fãs leais”.

“Como você deve saber, há quatro anos, este mês, sofri um grande acidente, onde danifiquei minha coluna”, escreveu o ex-líder do Black Sabbath, referindo-se a uma queda em sua casa em Los Angeles que exigiu uma cirurgia no pescoço.

“Meu único propósito durante esse tempo foi voltar ao palco”, continuou ele. “Minha voz para cantar é boa. No entanto, após três operações, tratamentos com células-tronco, sessões intermináveis de fisioterapia e, mais recentemente, o inovador tratamento Cybernics (HAL), meu corpo ainda está fisicamente fraco.

“Sinceramente, estou honrado com a maneira como todos vocês pacientemente mantiveram seus ingressos por todo esse tempo, mas com toda a consciência, agora percebi que não sou fisicamente capaz de fazer minha próxima turnê na Europa/Reino Unido. datas, pois sei que não conseguiria lidar com as viagens necessárias. Acredite em mim quando digo que o pensamento de decepcionar meus fãs realmente ME FODE, mais do que você jamais saberá.

Ele continuou: “Nunca imaginei que meus dias de turnê terminariam dessa maneira.

O músico disse que a sua equipa está “a ter ideias de onde poderei atuar sem ter de me deslocar de cidade em cidade e de país em país”.

“Quero agradecer a minha família… minha banda… minha equipe… meus amigos de longa data, Judas Priest e, claro, meus fãs por sua dedicação, lealdade e apoio sem fim, e por me dar a vida que eu nunca sonhei que teria.

Ozzy Osbourne has announced his retirement from touring and cancelled all upcoming European and UK show dates.

The metal icon shared the news on Twitter today (February 1), writing that it was “probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans”.

“As you may know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine,” the former Black Sabbath frontman wrote, referencing a fall at his Los Angeles home which required neck surgery.

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” he continued. “My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.

“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really FUCKS ME UP, more than you will ever know.”

He continued: “Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way.

The musician said that his team is “currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country”.

“I want to thank my family……my band…..my crew…..my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course, my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have.
