O Judas Priest escreveu uma breve declaração para seus fãs no Reino Unido e na Irlanda depois que Ozzy Osbourne anunciou sua aposentadoria e cancelou todas as datas de sua turnê ontem (2 de fevereiro).
Quando Ozzy Osbourne anunciou sua turnê No More Tours 2 em setembro de 2018, o Judas Priest foi apresentado como o convidado muito especial em todos os shows no Reino Unido e na Irlanda.
Devido à série de contratempos de saúde de Ozzy, a turnê foi adiada quatro vezes antes de ser cancelada definitivamente na quarta-feira. Ozzy disse aos fãs que, apesar de seus melhores esforços, seu corpo está muito “fisicamente fraco” para fazer uma turnê.
Nos últimos quatro anos, o Judas Priest se apresentou em um festival no Bloodstock Open Air em 2021, no entanto, eles não tocaram em nenhuma data ao vivo no Reino Unido e na Irlanda.
O Judas Priest emitiu uma declaração hoje, que diz: “Ozzy. Enviamos todo o nosso amor e apoio a Ozzy e agradecemos aos nossos fãs no Reino Unido e na Irlanda, especialmente por sua lealdade por estarem conosco.....
“No momento, estamos procurando oportunidades viáveis para nos vermos novamente em breve e publicaremos atualizações de acordo.

Além de duas aparições no Bloodstock, o Judas Priest não fez uma turnê no Reino Unido desde a turnê Redeemer of Souls em novembro de 2015.
Rob Halford revelou recentemente que o novo álbum do Judas Priest será lançado em 2024.
Em entrevista à NME na semana passada, Pete Waterman disse que a colaboração surpresa de Stock Aitken Waterman com o Judas Priest no final dos anos 1980 teria sido o "maior álbum de todos os tempos" do trio de produção se tivesse sido lançado.
Em 1988, o Judas Priest gravou um cover de "You Are Everything" do The Stylistics com o trio junto com as faixas originais de Stock Aitken Waterman "I Will Return" e "Runaround".
Apesar de se dar bem no estúdio, o Judas Priest decidiu arquivar as gravações e elas nunca foram lançadas oficialmente.

Judas Priest have written a short statement to their fans in the UK and Ireland after Ozzy Osbourne announced his retirement and cancelled all his tour dates yesterday (2nd February).
When Ozzy Osbourne announced his No More Tours 2 tour way back in September 2018, Judas Priest were unveiled as the very special guests at all UK & Ireland shows.
Due to Ozzy’s series of health setbacks, the tour was postponed four times before it was eventually cancelled for good on Wednesday. Ozzy told fans that despite his best efforts, his body is too “physically weak” to tour.
Over the past four years, Judas Priest have performed one festival slot at Bloodstock Open Air in 2021, however they haven’t played any of their own live dates in the UK and Ireland.
Judas Priest have now issued a statement today, which reads: “Ozzy. We send all our love and support for Ozzy and thank our fans in the UK and Ireland especially for your loyalty by standing with us.....
“Right now we’re looking at feasible opportunities to see each other again soon and will post updates accordingly.

Aside from two appearances at Bloodstock, Judas Priest haven’t toured the UK since their Redeemer of Souls Tour way back in November 2015.
Rob Halford recently revealed that Judas Priest’s new album will be released in 2024.
In an interview with NME last week, Pete Waterman said that Stock Aitken Waterman’s surprise collaboration with Judas Priest in the late 1980s would have been the production trio’s ‘biggest-ever record’ had it been released.
Back in 1988, Judas Priest recorded a cover of The Stylistics’ ‘You Are Everything’ with the trio together with the original Stock Aitken Waterman tracks ‘I Will Return’ and ‘Runaround’.
Despite getting on famously in the studio, Judas Priest decided to shelve the recordings and they have never officially been released
