Philip Selway admite que uma reunião do Radiohead está "mais adiante".
Os roqueiros do 'Creep' não fazem turnê desde 2018 e, embora estejam todos ocupados com seus próprios empreendimentos solo neste momento, eles estão "sempre conversando sobre coisas" e esperamos que se reúnam novamente nos "próximos anos".
Falando à revista Prog, o baterista disse: "Estamos sempre conversando sobre coisas.
“Mas em termos de um tipo real de projeto coletivo, além das coisas de 'Kid A' e 'Amnesiac' que temos feito [projeto de reedição de 'Kid AMnesia' de 2021 e exposição interativa), é um pouco mais adiante para nós quando isso vai acontecer. Estamos falando sobre isso, mas no momento cada um está fazendo suas próprias coisas. Quando a pandemia aconteceu, sempre planejamos tirar um ano do Radiohead por volta disso, para que pudéssemos continuar com outros coisas. Mas isso apenas significa que esses outros projetos meio que cresceram, então estamos dando tempo para todos esses projetos irem para onde eles precisam. Mas sim, vamos nos reunir em breve e nos próximos anos haverá ser algo lá, de algum tipo."
Enquanto isso, o músico de 55 anos revelou que já está trabalhando no sucessor de 'Strange Dance', de fevereiro, seu terceiro álbum solo.
Questionado se o próximo álbum está tomando forma, ele disse: "Está, na verdade. Você chega ao fim de um projeto e não consegue ver além disso por um tempo, mas é guiado pelas ideias que você tem vindo. também. Para fazer um álbum solo você precisa de músicas e elas estão começando a acontecer um pouco mais agora. Então, sim, eu adoraria.
"Quando comecei a fazer solo, eu estava pensando nisso como uma trilogia de discos e realmente não projetava além disso.
"Eu certamente não pensei que acabaria fazendo o trabalho de trilha sonora ou qualquer outra coisa. E, de certa forma, acho que 'Strange Dance' parece estar completando esse ciclo inicial. E é maravilhoso estar nisso apontar."

Philip Selway admits a Radiohead reunion is "further down the line".
The 'Creep' rockers haven't toured since 2018 and while they are all busy with their own solo ventures at this time, they are "always talking about stuff" and will hopefully get together again within the "next couple of years".
Speaking to Prog magazine, the drummer said: "We're always talking about stuff.
"But in terms of an actual kind of collective project, beyond the 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' stuff that we've been doing [2021's 'Kid AMnesia' reissue project and interactive exhibition), it's kind of further down the line for us when that will happen. We're talking about that, but at the moment everybody's doing their own thing. When the pandemic happened, we'd always planned to take a vear off from Radiohead around that, so we could get on with other stuff. But that just meant that those other projects kind of grew, so we're allowing time for all of those projects to go where they need to. But yeah, we'll get together soon and in the next couple of years there will be something there, of some sort."
In the meantime, the 55-year-old musician has revealed he's already working on his follow-up to February's 'Strange Dance', his third solo album.
Asked if the next record is taking shape, he said: "It is, actually. You get to the end of one project and can't see beyond that for a little while, but it's led by the ideas that you've got coming as well. To do a solo record you need songs and they are starting to happen a bit more now. So yeah, I would love to.
"When I first started doing the solo stuff, I was just thinking of it as a trilogy of records and didn't really project beyond that.
"I certainly didn't think I'd end up doing soundtrack work or any of the other stuff. And in some ways, I guess 'Strange Dance' feels as though it's completing that initial cycle. And it feels wonderful to be at that point."
