New Kids on the Block está lançando seu primeiro álbum em 11 anos.
O grupo pop - composto por Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg e Danny Wood - surpreendeu Blockheads (seus fãs) ao anunciar seu sucessor de '10' de 2013, intitulado 'Still Kids', que chegará em 17 de maio.
Os criadores do sucesso 'Step by Step' - que inspiraram futuras boy bands, incluindo Take That, Backstreet Boys e NSYNC - também compartilharam o reflexivo single principal, 'Kids', que foi escrito e produzido por David Stewart e Luke Batt.
Os fãs podem esperar “hinos pop, faixas dançantes, canções de amor e grooves”.
DJ Jazzy Jeff é apresentado em 'Get Down', enquanto 'Old School Love' é uma colaboração com o cantor dos anos 80 Taylor Dayne.
As canções são escritas por Wahlberg e McIntyre.
O primeiro disse: “É o álbum mais maduro que já fizemos.
“No entanto, é o álbum mais divertido e confortável que já fizemos.
“Este álbum, mais do que qualquer outro, está fechando o círculo entre os New Kids e os fãs.
“É uma questão de esperança e possibilidades e de sermos nós mesmos.”
McIntyre acrescentou: “Diz muito sobre qualquer banda fazer um disco que tenha energia, paixão, leveza, diversão e profundidade – depois de quase 40 anos juntos? É louco."
Enquanto isso, o grupo embarcará na 'The Magic Summer Tour' - uma homenagem à turnê pelos estádios de 1990 - em junho e trará convidados especiais Paula Abdul e DJ Jazzy Jeff com eles.

New Kids on the Block are releasing their first album in 11 years.
The pop group - comprising Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood - have surprised Blockheads (their fans) by announcing their follow-up to 2013's '10', titled 'Still Kids', which will arrive on May 17.
The 'Step by Step' hitmakers - who inspired future boy bands including Take That, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC - have also shared the reflective lead single, 'Kids', which was written and produced by David Stewart and Luke Batt.
Fans can expect “pop anthems, dance tracks, love songs and grooves.”
DJ Jazzy Jeff is featured on 'Get Down', whilst 'Old School Love' is a collaboration with 80s singer Taylor Dayne.
The songs are penned by Wahlberg and McIntyre.
The former said: “It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made.
“Yet it’s the most fun and most comfortable album we’ve ever made.
“This album, more than any other, is bringing the New Kids and the fans full circle.
“It’s about hope and possibilities and being ourselves.”
McIntyre added: “It says a lot about any band to make a record that has energy and passion and lightness and fun and depth – after almost 40 years together? It’s crazy.”
Meanwhile, the group are embarking on 'The Magic Summer Tour' - a nod to their 1990 stadium tour - in June and bringing special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff with them.
