Usher revelou o que o mantém jovem.
O ícone do R&B de 45 anos revelou que tentar coisas novas em sua carreira tem sido o segredo de seu sucesso na indústria musical.
“A oportunidade de fazer algo novo, de introduzir, tentar, experimentar e criar mais uma experiência que ninguém teve – ao mesmo tempo em que mantenho a juventude e a energia ao meu redor, para me inspirar – é isso que me mantém jovem”, disse Usher à Essence.
O Sim! hitmaker acrescentou que recentemente trabalhou com vários artistas mais jovens, incluindo 21 Savage e H.E.R.
“Quando jovem, sempre tentei descobrir como ser como os grandes do meu passado”, disse ele à publicação. “E desta vez, acho que está meio invertido.”
Usher continuou dizendo que espera poder ser uma inspiração para a geração mais jovem de músicos.
“Trata-se de manter a integridade, mantendo-o ao vivo, mantendo o microfone ligado, mantendo a banda ao vivo e fazendo esse trabalho”, disse ele. “Espero poder ser uma referência – da mesma forma que Prince foi para mim – para os jovens que estão vindo depois de mim. Da mesma forma que Michael Jackson e Bobby Brown e New Edition, e todos aqueles artistas incríveis do passado, foram para mim - espero poder ser o mesmo para eles."

Usher has revealed what keeps him young.
The 45-year-old R&B icon has revealed that trying new things in his career has been the secret to his success in the music industry.
"The opportunity to do something new, to introduce and try and experiment and create yet another experience that no one has had - while actually keeping youth and energy around me, to inspire me - that's what keeps me young," Usher told Essence.
The Yeah! hitmaker added that he has recently been working with a number of younger artists, including 21 Savage and H.E.R.
"As a young person, I was always trying to figure out how to be like the greats of my past," he told the publication. "And in this time, I think it's kind of reversed."
Usher went on to say that he hopes he can be an inspiration to the younger generation of musicians.
"It's about keeping the integrity, by keeping it live, keeping that mic on, keeping that band live and doing that work," he said. "I'm hoping that I can be a staple - in the same way Prince was for me - for the young people who are coming up after me. The same way that Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown and New Edition, and all those incredible performers of the past, were for me - I'm hoping that I can be the same for them."
